About the Art: "When I was a boy, our family would vacation in cabins like this, which we would rent for a week or two in places in Michigan. Storms would come in from the north or south, but the gentle breezes which refreshed the spirit always came in from the west. This scene could be a lot of places, of course. What I wanted to capture here was the sense of comfort these old, tested structures retained and passed on from one occupant to another. There are feelings of serenity pressed into the wood itself." - Brian Keller
