It's mating season and the gobblers are "showing off" for the hens. In addition to painting the turkeys, Redlin also enjoyed the opportunity to paint a spring scene. The bright greens of the field grass are highlighted by the golden rays of light, but the overall scene is full of soft and muted colors.
