About the Art: Superior Edition
About the Artist:
Douglas Adams is well known as a fine late Victorian sporting artist who flourished between 1880 and 1894.
He was most prolific in the creation of highland loch and coastal views but he also painted three fine golfing scenes at Conwy, Caernarvonshire in 1893, which were, for him, a rare diversion.
Of the three oil paintings, only one can be traced today - the 30" x 50" The Drive, Conwy Links. Although a few engravings of this print were published in 1894, Rosenstiel's is very proud to publish the only reproduction from the oil on canvas.
