From the Artist: When it comes to my approach to collage art, I tend to take a surreal approach. I find it more satisfying to let the viewer interpret the piece for themselves, rather than telling them what they should see. Take, for instance, my work, "Flight of the Butterflies." This piece was inspired by the Monarch butterflies that often hover around my pool area. Using a mixture of paper and glass butterflies with jewel accents, I created a vibrant and captivating mixed-media collage that perfectly captures the fluttering beauty of these delicate creatures. Each time you look at it, you may discover something new, as if the butterflies are taking flight right before your eyes.
