From the Artist: Paris, City of Lights is a special painting that came about as a result of a family trip to France in 2016. While in Paris, my youngest son and I spent several days photographing various sites. One night while we were out photographing, France reached the soccer finals of the UEFA Euro. That night, a crowd of over 90,000 excited fans gathered near the Eiffel Tower to watch the final match against Portugal on a large screen. It was quite a sight and the crowd could be heard for miles. While the game was being played, I took the photos and made some sketches on which this painting is based. The Eiffel Tower is one of the most iconic landmarks, not just in Paris, but in the world. The majestic iron tower is both an amazing feat of engineering and an inspiring symbol of the City of Lights. ~ Rod Chase
