Gilleon's diverse career spans from illustrating NASA's Apollo missions to a 25-year tenure as a Walt Disney Imagineer, where he worked alongside legendary artists to develop concepts for Disney theme parks worldwide.
The Scottsdale Museum of The West is currently hosting "Inner Light: The Art of Tom Gilleon," a retrospective featuring 70 paintings, including works on loan from Disney and the debut of "Spirit Catcher," a 22-minute digital painting triptych. Gilleon's art is held in prestigious collections, including the Whitney Western Art Museum, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, and NASA. He was inducted as a founding member of the C.M. Russell Museum Skull Society of Artists in 2015.
His work has achieved record-breaking sales, with "Mourning Star" selling for $350,000 at the C.M. Russell Museum Auction in 2021, and "Dirge With Black Feet" fetching $375,000 at The Autry Museum's Masters of the American West in 2022.
Gilleon's art is currently exhibited in galleries across the western United States, and his work is set to be featured in the first art exhibit on the Moon as part of the Lunar Art Museum (LUMA) project.
