The Kyoto Collection photography is based on old Japan, their ethos on quiet temples, sublime gardens, colourful shrines and geishas scurrying to secret locations, representing the people of Japan from a previous age. This photograph conveys a group of young ladies playing a traditional game of Japanese cards, wearing their traditional kimono dresses that are highlighted in bursts of colour, bringing the photograph to life.
