About the Artist:
John King (1929- 2014) was born at West Tytherley, near Salisbury, and it was due to the influence of Lionel Edwards, a close neighbour and a family friend, that he became a full-time artist. He specialised in all equestrian and field sports, together with portraits, family groups, military and ceremonial.
He had many patrons, including the Duke of Beaufort, the Duke of Northumberland, The Royal Bodyguard, Household Cavalry, numerous Livery Companies and Tattersalls, to name but a few.
