About the Artist:
Beverley Gene Coraldean was born in London in 1984. She found talent in drawing at a young age and has had her head down scribbling ever since.
After moving to Norwich to attend it's art school she began to depict the traditional buildings and lanes of the city. A trip to Venice in her early twenties began a love affair with the grand buildings and arches of italian architecture and her detailed and illustrative style was developed. Beverley creates complex, intertwining environments that excite the audience to explore and interact.
She has traveled to cities worldwide and draws them compulsively, gaining an understanding of their feel and anatomy. Recent trips have included the cities of Thailand, Amsterdam and London.
She works with fine lines and delicacy often using pen and ink for her pieces, adding a touch of digital colour. In studying a city until she can freely draw if from her mind, the work becomes more of a doodle than a planned observational piece.
