About the Artist: Emily Bronte's classic, Wuthering Heights, made the setting famous, and now, artist Steven Townsend makes it come alive visually. Townsend chose the English moors near his childhood home for his dynamic portrait of a favorite breed. The English springer spaniel is popular with hunters and one of the oldest sporting gundogs. Townsend conveys its boundless energy and enthusiasm complete with a setting that provides an excellent habitat for game birds.
Steven Townsend is a completely self-taught artist of exceptional talent. Born in 1955 Steven is married with four children. His signed limited editions are one of the most sought after prints on the market, and have become collectors items. Steven Townsend draws inspiration from classical music; his favourites being Mahler and Chpin. He has spent much time studying the works of several timeless, great impressionist painters, particularly enjoying the work of Peder Monsted and Bruno Liljefors. His faith has proved to be a cornerstone of his dedication and ability.
