Patrick Ryan was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Patrick Ryan later adopted the pen name of Henri Plisson for his impressionist painting style. Henri attended the University of Nebraska for his undergraduate degree and continued to the University of Southern California for his Master of Fine Arts degree. Henri Plisson currently continues to paint in San Diego, California.

Henri combines his classical foundation with a richly textured style to create a unique vision. He incorporates an astonishing sense of color creating vibrant and radiant images.
