Lt. Colonel Nathan Bedford Forrest, Nashville, Tennessee - February 19, 1862
"Nashville Night Patrol by John Paul Strain"After escaping Fort Donelson, Forrest led a 75-mile trek to chaotic Nashville. He took command, restoring order and organizing evacuations. Forrest saved military supplies and protected residents before the city fell to Union forces on February 25, 1862.
