From the Artist: "I was driving down the highway and heard Julie Miller's song 'The Speed of Light,' except the lyrics I mistakenly heard were 'traveling at the speed of life.' That just knocked me out. It was the perfect title for this painting with the idea that life can seem at times to be dragging along at a snail's pace and then you blink - and years have gone by. I now had the key to complete this painting."
