About the Art:Next to the old cathedral town of Dornoch, birthplace of Donald Ross, is one of the finest and most famous golf courses in the world. Golf has been played here for hundreds of years on the links land beside the cold North Sea waters. Organization as a golf club came in 1877 and it was not until the spring of 1886 that Tom Morris extended the course from nine to eighteen holes. On first sight of the location he was charmed by the terrain and remarked, There canna be a better found for golf.
