Daniel Smith Handsigned and Numbered Fine Art SmallWorks™ Giclée Canvas:"The Contender"
Artist: Daniel Smith
Title: The Contender
Size: 10" x 8"
Edition: Artist Signed and Numbered, Limited to 150
Medium: Giclee on Canvas
About The Edition: The majestic elk, one of the largest mammals in North America, is revered in some cultures as a spiritual force. The bugling calls of males during the mating season can, like the howl of a gray wolf, resonate for several miles. This magnificent elk has sounded a challenge for all to hear.
About the Art: Miniature art is an important part of any collection and SmallWorks is your way to begin. Such works are often a collector's first purchase because they are less expensive. A single small jewel of art can be that final, elegant touch in fine décor. On the other hand, a wall filled with framed miniatures makes for an impressive display of a collector's unique style and range of interests. The Greenwich Workshop's SmallWorks are artworks with an image area of 144 square inches or less (for example, it could be 12" x 12" or 3"x 44".) Larger than the traditional miniature format (6" x 9"), the SmallWorks design gives the artist slightly more space and dimensions to play with, while still offering the collector or first time buyer a point of easy and unique access to the finest art from the finest artists. We've offered smaller format works from our artists in the past, but it can be hard to understand relative size in our printed Catalogue. By creating the category of SmallWorks and by opening with a "show", we have put all the Greenwich Workshop artists together in one place and miniature art under the banner of SmallWorks.
