From the Artist: This gorgeous flower is from one of my "Peace" rose bushes and it was definitely one the top five most beautiful roses of that summer! The colors in it remind me of an especially beautiful sunrise or sunset. I am fascinated with the distortions that occur in glass that rolls or ripples in some way, or that has a design cut into it. The effects that this vase created are so interesting, especially the repetitions of the leaf at the top of the vase. The wave-like distortions of the stripes are more gently subtle, while the white on white stripes perfectly create the light and mood of a lovely summer day. - JJ.
