About the Art:
Wind Sifter is a wizard of earth. Assisted by a variety of magical fair folk, Wind Sifter is perhaps the nearest and dearest of the realms' overseers. For it is in this bailiwick of earth that so much of what we think of as nature is expressed.
"Trapped Magic" assaults our every sense in this element the elves call home. Springtime breezes, the delicate blankets of color in a wildflower field, the ballet of autumn leaves as they're swept from majestic trees - all are "Trapped Magic" in its finest forms. The fair folk of the various elemental realms will often convey messages by using some naturally occurring aspect of their realm. The elves of earth are said to use a system of color codes they have devised to further their realm's expressions of "Trapped Magic". Only a wizard or "one who remembers the ways of the woods" can truly understand its complexity and meanings. Some say the splendor of an autumn forest, with its infinite display of color, is a product of talkative elves as they prepare for the oncoming silent months of winter.
In each unannounced whisper on the wind or in each memory carried on the smell of a breeze, Wind Sifter works her scarf of "wind knots" to keep the balance of nature and help channel the magic that's just within our reach.
