Medium: Hand-Textured Giclée on Canvas
About the Art : Artist Trevor Mezak loves his job. When he’s not in the ocean surfing Southern California waves (which is the case pretty often) chances are he’s in his studio obsessing over some new artistic curiosity. Like a mad scientist, so many of his days in the lab start with the question: “I wonder what would happen if…”
What would happen if I painted on concrete instead of canvas? What would happen if I used roofing tar in some areas, instead of paint? What if I burned part of the painting with gun powder? Poured acid on it? Added rusty, reclaimed metals? Trevor Mezak’s artistic endeavors over the past few years have been in pursuit of the answers to his ever-growing list of questions, which led him to develop a new art style that he calls “Industrial Impressionism”.
Mezak’s sensational, raw, rustic multi-media originals have been a hit with original art collectors around the world, so the next question we had to answer was how to bring this exciting, dimensional new style to a canvas limited edition collection.
We are excited to introduce the answer to that question, with a portfolio of limited editions that capture the depth and dimension of Trevor’s originals. Through an expert use of high quality art scans and unique hand-texturing techniques, each of these Signed & Numbered editions come to life in a way that defies the definition of the term “print”. We invite you to peer into Trevor Mezak’s mad scientist workshop, seen through this exciting new collection, and let your own curiosity lead you to wonder what else might be possible.
