About the Art: In 1982 legendary Warner Bros. director and animator, Friz Freleng, began creating a special collection of limited edition animation cels. A limited edition cel is a recreation of an original production cel or a hand-tailored cel depicting a favorite character in a special scene. Mr. Freleng personally developed and drew the original master art for each of his limited editions. The cel image is hand-inked on an original master cel. Silkscreened ink lines are then created from the master for each of the limited edition pieces. In traditional animation style, the cels are turned over and hand-painted on the back using animation cel paint. The hand-painted background image is photographically reproduced to insure the best color and reproductive quality. Each piece has a studio seal and is signed by Mr. Freleng.
