Slava Brodinsky Hand Signed and Numbered Limited Edition Serigraph on Paper: " Meadows "
Artist: Slava Brodinsky
Title: Meadows
Size: 9" x 13"
Edition Size: Artist Hand Signed and Numbered Limited Edition
Medium: Serigraph on Paper
About the Artist: Slava Brodinsky is a master of ‘painting the light,' capturing the rays of the sun in his landscapes. His work is textured and has an air of earthiness, achieved by the use of rough brushes, impasto and mixing the paint with natural elements such as sand. His techniques echo and build upon those of painters who have been a source of great inspiration to him.
Born in Birobidjan, Eastern Russia, in 1955 Brodinsky devoted himself to painting from an early age. As a boy, he was sent to an art school, and after serving in the Soviet Army, retuned to his hometown and began studying in the Fine Arts Academy of Birobidjan, graduating with honors in 1979. Through the eighties he continued painting monumental works and participated in exhibitions throughout the U.S.S.R.
In 1991 Brodinsky immigrated with his family to Israel. The topography of the country, especially the views of the Galilee in Northern Israel and its surrounding hills, became dominant motifs in his work. A different kind of sunlight and a new countryside affected his pallet and demarked a new period in his artistic history.
Brodinsky's work is exhibited and collected throughout the United States, Canada, Israel, Russia, France, England and Japan. He has had various one-man and group exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
