About the Art: Thomas Kinkade was a life-long admirer of Walt Disney and the wonderful characters he created. While Thom re-created many of his favorite stories on canvas, he also envisioned classic Disney characters set within traditional Kinkade images. Mickey and Minnie - Sweetheart Holiday is the third Thomas Kinkade Studios artwork that features Disney's Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse together. Mickey and Minnie - Sweetheart Cove was the initial Thomas Kinkade Studios image dedicated to this iconic Disney duo, and Mickey and Minnie - Sweetheart Bridge was the second - released in May of 2016 and August of 2016 respectively. These three paintings are the realization of Thomas Kinkade's vision to create art featuring classic Disney characters in traditional Kinkade settings. Mickey and Minnie - Sweetheart Holiday is the first Thomas Kinkade Studios artwork to feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse's friends. Pluto happily watches on as his companions enjoy their time skating on the pond. Donald cheerily looks on at his pals from the window of "Donald's Inn". Vintage shops such the Caramel Maker and the Watch Maker remind us of a joyous time past. The wishing well in the middle of Mickey's Square invites visitors to use their imaginations as they hope to make magical dreams a reality. A festive snowman and a classic sled with a Cardinal on top remind us of childhood memories and fun winter past times. An iconic Thomas Kinkade cobblestone bridge and a mailbox with the initials "TK" engraved on it are a tribute to Thomas Kinkade, the Studios' founding artist, who loved the Holidays and celebrated them by creating some of the world's most iconic paintings dedicated to the Season.
