About the Artist:
Born in Middlewich in 1866, Harold Swanwick's artistic education took him to Liverpool, London and Paris to perfect his technique of painting animals, figures and landscapes in oils. He was also a student of Legros and Fred Brown.
From 1889 he exhibited at the Royal Academy and his work is represented in many galleries throughout England.
