About the Artist:
Award-winning photographer Peter Adams was born in London in 1959. He was an only child and lost both his parents whilst quite young, which encouraged him at an early age towards a life of travel and independence.
Inspired originally towards a photographic career by the National Geographic magazine and by his admiration for the work of great photographers like Ansel Adams, Peter took a job as photographer's assistant after completing his education before setting-off on his own career and he had received no official training.
He was best known for his landscape and travel work and indeed was voted Travel Photographer of the Year in 2003. He won several other awards including the Nikon Photo International Contest. He was a truly great photographer.
