About the Artist:
Rodger McPhail was born in Lancashire in 1953. After finishing school McPhail attended Liverpool College of Art where he would go on to study Graphic Design, this is where he gained a thorough insight into the art world which has served him well in his career as a professional painter.
McPhail has a long association with The Tryon Galleries and in spring 2017 he enjoyed an extremely successful 19th one man show with the gallery.
In his diversely creative career he has also illustrated over thirty books, painted many portraits, cartoons and even stage sets.
McPhail is married with two sons and has travelled extensively all over Europe, Africa and America for pleasure, especially pursuing his love for sport. McPhail has received great success and international appreciation for his work.
